Weekday Trail Outlook and Upcoming Events 12/27-1/02, 2022

Snow and Ice to Ring in the New Year

  • This will be a great week if you are one of those people that loves the snow winter activities. The worst of the storms has tapered off and it will stay cold and dry for the weekday with flurries from time to time. Low temperatures overnight are expected to be near records especially later in the week so even if we get some daytime thawing, expect region wide hard freezes by sunrise. Have a great last week of 2021 and safe adventures to everyone reading this.

Carcione and Canepa Ranch Master Plan

  • On the West end of the valley, at Mogul, there are two properties owned by the county and set aside as open space with long term plans to develop into parks. These are the Carcione and Canepa Ranch properties that span the river to the east of the Belli Ranch neighborhood, west of the Tom Cooke trails, and south of the freeway and train tracks. The county held an initial survey and public input meeting via zoom and now you can watch that meeting recording on youtube and provide additional input via filling out this survey by January 7, 2022.
