Week Ahead Conditions Forecast & Weekend Wrap Up

Anybody else see the antelope residing on the mountain this past weekend? They are curious creatures. Literally curious. We spotted them on our Friday evening ride at about 200 yards away. Once they put a ridge between us, they actually snuck around and got a close up look before deciding we weren’t worth hanging out with. Such a cool animal.

Weekend Wrap Up

I am trying to keep the front page relatively brief, but want to share details of trail reports too. You can always submit anonymously and don’t have to agree to share your specific report. Here are the reports from the weekend:

  • 4/16/21 Up Las Brisas, Bacons, Lingel’s Loop. Down Colpo, Norton’s Toll Road, Stagecoach and Keystone. All Dry and fast. -Patrick S.

Week Ahead Conditions Forecast

Another beautiful spring week. Seventies today and sixties the rest of the week. Some showers and thunder tomorrow afternoon and into the night, but probably not enough to make the trails susceptible to traffic damage. With the nights staying above freezing, the odds of snake interactions are increasing. Runners and hikers, watch where you step and keep your pups on a leash or strong voice control.

Looking further out, the national weather service has enough confidence in their weather model to be warning of big weather this weekend. If you are debating midweek vs weekend outdoor activity this week, you may be best served striking while the sun shines.

As always, keep the trail reports coming and I’ll see y’all on the next ride around!
