Weekend Outlook 4/9-4/11, 2021

Anyone else have that creeping sense of anxiety that we are just in a typical Reno False Spring™?

Well, make hay while the sun shines right? Or in our case would it be “make way”? And the sun will shine this weekend. Seventies and light evening breezes. Go get em!

This past week, our guess was confirmed that all but Mahogany Forest is dry. Pretty decent snow patches about a hundred feet or so up trail from the second bench, but otherwise the mid mountain and below is wide open.

Speaking of wonderful news and wide open, incase you missed it, COVID vaccine eligibility in Washoe county is open to everyone now. Here is the sign up page for the county. There may also be openings with private pharmacies not shown on that page.

Shout out to Ky over at the Bike Washoe for sending out a press release about our little community project here. ThisIsReno picked it up and ran it and we saw a nice little bump. Hopefully that translates to more people enjoying our little mountain trails responsibly. We won’t hold it against them that they forgot to mention this is also for the runners and hikers. Bike Washoe is about bikes.

As always, if you get out on the mountain, submit a trail report and let us know how it is. I’ll update the front page as reports come in.
