Weekend Outlook 7/22-7/25, 2021

RTC’s new FlexRide route runs between Galena and Incline Village/Sand Harbor. $5 one-way for all drops except Sand Harbor (+$2 to cover park entry). Multiple drop-off/pickup locations up on the mountain. And the vans have bike racks. ;) More details at the link. You have to call RTC to book this ride and if you want to take your bikes, book early. There are six seats on the bus but only 2 bike racks.

Trail Outlook

Going to stay out of the triple digits this weekend but only just. On top of the heat, watch the air quality. Winds can shift and fill the valley so if you’re unsure, check the AQI forecast. Outside of that, the weather looks amazing. Bluebird days and the evening breeze will even be a bit lighter. Get it while it’s good. We all know how smoke season can lock us in at a flip of the wind.

As always, if you get out on the mountain, submit a trail report and let us know how it is. I’ll update the front page as reports come in.
