Trail Karma Opportunities:

  • Saturday & Sunday, July 23, Multiple Times:

    • City of Reno Adaptive Sports program is seeking volunteer experienced mountain bike riders and coaches to work with adaptive mountain bike riders during their adaptive mountain bike camp held at Sky Tavern. Trail Outlook: Decreasing Wind, Increasing Stoke

  • Looking at a calmer week once the Monday wind tapers off with very nice daytime breezes and temperatures. The only weekday with any possible weather impacting the trails is Thursday afternoon into Friday morning chances of thunderstorms. Otherwise, get out and remember the sunscreen and water.

  • Tuesday, June 20:

    • 5:30 pm

      • Tuesday Night Ride Group is riding the Emigrant trail in Truckee from the Stampede Reservoir trailhead. This is also their solstice party ride so check in with their social for additional details. This is a choose your own distance ride so do as many laps as you like. TNRG is a casual mountain bike ride group for all skill levels. They don’t wait for a mass start, so when you arrive, introduce yourself or just start riding as you like.       • Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) Reno are leading a Peavine mountain bike ride from the East Keystone Canyon parking lot. This is a ride open to all FTWNB riders and RAR has extra bikes available if you contact them ahead of time. To contact them and for more information, follow @rar.reno on instagram.

  • Wednesday, June 21:

    • 5:00 pm

      • Reno Tahoe Junior Cycle/ Reno Devo is holding their fourth and final Wednesday Night Worlds Short Track Cross Country mountain bike race of the season at Sierra Vista Park. These races happen once a month through July and funds raised go toward local youth athletes training and racing. Registration closes Monday nights on the event website here. Even if you don’t race, come out and cheer on the racers and enjoy the local enthusiasm. Novice heats start at 5pm, Juniors and Women roll at 6:10pm, and Open and Old dudes at 6:40pm.

    • 7:45 pm

      • Bike Night Reno will be rolling out a group of riders of all kinds from the Space Whale in Downtown. As their name suggests, this is a night ride so lights are required. Whether it’s a simple headlamp and taillight or full on burner bike light-splosion is entirely up to you. This is a mostly flat road ride friendly to all wheeled contraptions at an extremely social pace. For more information, follow @bikenightreno on instagram.
