Trail Outlook: Drying out a little more every day

• The round of warm temps has once again helped to melt off a large chunk of the snow we received two weeks ago. At this point, most lower elevation trails have made good progress in drying out. Most lower elevation trails up through ~5500 ft are now dry, with some persistent mud patches in shade-prone areas. Higher level trails will have some mix of persistent snow and mud as that snow melts, though that may disappear quickly if the temps stay warm.

Thursday, Feb 22:

• Silver state striders are meeting at Reno Running Co. at Lakeside (formerly Eclipse Running) at 5:45 p.m. for Thursday Night Hills

Saturday, Feb 24:

• Silver state striders are meeting at 8 am to run part of Western State’s Trail. More information about meeting times and locations can be found here.
