Site Updates for Winter 2024-25

Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by. If you’ve been here before, you may have noticed a few changes to the site. In an effort to be more useful, we’ve rolled out some new pages and features that we hope will provide value to the community.

Local Organizations

In an effort to consolidate the various biking, running, and winter sports groups in the greater Reno area, we’ve made a list of all the groups we are aware of, along with a link to their events pages. We most likely have missed some groups, so please reach out if you’d like to see anything not currently listed!

Upcoming Events

We’ve consolidated a Google calendar with a variety of local organizations that maintain their own. There are quite a few organizations that do not use Google calendars, and instead post events directly to a Facebook group, Instagram page, or their website. If you don’t see any activities that interest you, we suggest checking out the Local Organizations page, which has links to additional event listings.

Community Bulletin Boards

We know there are many individual groups on Facebook and Instagram where people connect, but it can be hard to keep track of it all. Additionally, there are is a growing group of people who wish to disconnect from the Meta-verse. For those who want to stay connected to the community, we’ve created a simple forum that allows users to post about events/meetups, lost and found items, and equipment for sale. The goal for these forums is to create a centralized place for logistical discussions. This is in its earliest iteration, so please reach out if you have ideas for improvement.
