Ooops!

Well, that didn’t work.

I could speculate about why, but regardless of the reasons, the end result was still that this website didn’t get the regular attention that it needs to stay a current resource for the community. This is the risk of handing over a pet project to others.

But I knew this risk going into the process of trying to find a new steward for IPD. So I made sure there was a recovery plan in place. So here we are. Moving forward.

The situation as it stands is, I’m still in Tucson and don’t plan on moving back any time soon. Yes, I miss the hell out of Reno, my friends and family, and all the amazing trail community. But returning just isn’t in the plan for the foreseeable future. Which means if IPD is to continue to serve as a tool for locals to enjoy the hell out of the trails in a sustainable way, it needs a local contributor.

So here is what I’m offering. The website is either up for sale OR I’ll cover the expenses if one or more of y’all will contribute reliably. We can make this community resource a community effort, or you can take it off my hands and shape it into what you want.

If you are interested in one or the other of those options, You can email me through the trail report form or reach out through the social channels I’ve added.

Sincerely,

Patrick Smith
