Reno Kiwanis Biggest Little Bike Swap and Sale. This is a consignment sale so you bring your gear to be sold first thing in the morning, the sale runs all day, and you pickup what hasn’t sold at the end of the day. Kiwanis is charging 20% of sales as a fundraiser for their continued support of bike education and rehabilitation efforts. More details at their Facebook Events Page.
Trail Outlook: Spring Warmth & Afternoon Wind
I’m trialling a new map of conditions. Instead of writing pages of words on specific trail conditions, I’ve created a general map outlining where the rough boundaries are for either limited poor conditions or extensive poor conditions. See the image at the bottom of the post. If you like either the map or the long posts, please give me feedback so the site can be most useful for you.
I was wrong about the upper mountain last week. The snow above the trail on Mahogany Forest continues to melt and saturate the trail above the bench. Expect standing water and plenty of mud in the highest trail segments. The weather this week is looking fantastic for morning and midday outings. Winds are expected to pickup most afternoons but otherwise no adverse conditions expected. The trail surfaces dried quickly after this past storm cycle so expect late spring or even early summer dryness levels.

Most TNRG rides will have an after ride social at the start point so if you want to join in, pay attention to the flow of riders heading back. Check their Facebook Group Page for the most current updates.
