• Thursday, October 7:

    • Silver State Striders are running the Steamboat Ditch Trail from the Wood Chuck Drive crossing out to Hole-In-The-Wall and back. Roughly 8 miles total out and back. More details on their website.

• Friday, October 8:

  • 4:00pm

    • Salty Sierra Dirt Surfers are holding a family bike night at the Incline Bike Park. More details at their Facebook event page.

• Saturday, October 9:

  • Silver State Striders are also encouraging members to organize their own long run so visit their facebook group page for more on that.

  • 1:00pm

    • Nevada Nordic is hosting a trail maintenance day for their Tahoe Meadows XC ski trails. More details and RSVP/coordination contact information on their Facebook Group Page.

• Sunday, October 10:

  • 8:00am:

    • Muscle Powered Carson city will be road riding from Fremont Elementary School.

Trail Outlook

Weather is coming. What is will do to trails is a bit unsure at the moment considering just how dry it is on the ground, but water is expected this weekend. Mostly Thursday through the dark hours of Saturday morning. No big downpours are expected, but a persistent drizzle could really reshape the trails. Add to this a serious drop in temperatures and higher elevations may see the elusive white stuff Saturday morning. In general, fall weather begins this weekend. If you get out, submit a trail report and let us all know what you’re seeing on the ground.
