  • Saturday, July 09:

      • Reno Area Triathletes are hosting their annual Pyramid Lake Sprint Triathlon. This sprint triathlons consist of a 0.5 mile swim, a 14 mile ride, and a 3 mile run. This is always a great event and the course is flat and fast. More information and registration can be had at the event website here.

      • Silver State Striders are not organizing an official long run but encouraging their members to coordinate between themselves. Check their Facebook Group Page for any unofficial group runs.

  • Sunday, July 10:

    • 7:00 am

      • Reno Del Fuegos will be riding Tahoe City to Reno along the Truckee River corridor. This is a long mixed surfaces one way ride and requires a way to get to Tahoe City or shuttle back to your vehicle afterwards. Even though it is technically downhill, you should be comfortable with a long day in the saddle being self supported. RDF rides are always very relaxed and welcoming. More information as well as coordinating transportation can be had at their Facebook Events Page.

Trail Outlook

Near perfect! Sure, the afternoons are going to be windy and that may impact fireworks, but otherwise the heat is letting off just a little and there are no water or thunderstorms in the forecast. Keep your fingers crossed that the Rices fire doesn’t blow up and we might be smoke free over the holiday weekend. Have a great weekend!

If you get out, let us know what you saw by submitting a trail report.

Be kind, be safe, and enjoy.

Top to bottom dry.
