Weekend Outlook 06/15-06/18, 2023

Trail Karma Opportunities:

  • Saturday & Sunday, July 23, Multiple Times:

    • City of Reno Adaptive Sports program is seeking volunteer experienced mountain bike riders and coaches to work with adaptive mountain bike riders during their adaptive mountain bike camp held at Sky Tavern. To see time slots and sign up, check out their signupgenious event page linked here. For more information, contact April Wolfe through the City of Reno Adaptive Cycling website linked here.

Weekend Events:

  • Thursday, June 15:

    • 4:00 pm

      • Tri-Lab is back! And it’s a good day to tri hard! (yes I stole that joke from Craft Wine and Beer’s newsletter). In case you haven’t heard of Tri-Lab, it is a three organization team up (collab but with three (tri)) between Reno Bike Project, Holland Project, and Craft Wine and Beer to raise a glass and funds to two amazing community organizations. I’ll let Ty, over at Craft, tell you more about the block party that this is with his newsletter linked here. Sufficed to say, it’s a good time. There is always a limited edition beer. And it’s an easy and fun way to support some absolutely stand up Reno community institutions. See you there!

  • Saturday, June 17:

    • 8:00 am

    • 9:45 am

      • Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) Reno are leading a beginner friendly gravel ride from the Hobart Mills parking area at Hobart Mills Road and Hwy 89 North of Truckee. This ride is for FTWN-B riders and the route is excellent for getting a taste of what gravel riding is all about. For more details, follow @rar.reno on Instagram.

Trail Outlook

  • Absolutely stellar weekend to be outside coming up. Expect some increasing winds in the afternoons Saturday and Sunday but otherwise no rain, moderate warm temperatures, and ideal trail conditions. Have fun and share the stoke with other trail users.

If you get out, let us know what you saw by submitting a trail report.

Be kind, be safe, and enjoy.

June 15, 2023 Conditions. Dry across the mountain.
