Weekday Trail Outlook and Upcoming Events 06/05-06/11, 2023
Trail Outlook: Thunderstorms
This may be a good week to do some gear cleaning and prep for deeper summer. Thunderstorms are expected every weekday with rain possible even in the morning. Severity of rain is expected to taper later in the week, so mornings may feature excellent conditions or peanut butter mud. I’ll keep the front page updated as conditions change. Loamier and sandier soils of the Whites, Thomas, and Callahan trails, as well as the trails in Truckee that are currently open are likely to hold up better during these storms. If you head those directions, don’t be surprised if you have plenty of trail friends.
