Weekday Trail Outlook and Upcoming Events 10/18-10/24

Unsettled Fall Weather Ahead

If you don’t like being out in a drizzle, get out there today. Wednesday through the weekend has increasing chances of precipitation and a wind gust here and there. Current forecast shows relatively high snow line so expect dustings at the peaks and wetted trails on the mid slope. Depending on how much comes down, this could mean some really nice trail conditions for the midweek and weekend, or declining conditions as we get closer to the weekend.

In general, you are going to want to pack a waterproof shell and make sure you have enough snacks incase you are out in the cooler weather for longer than anticipated.

Other than the weather, the fall colors are in full swing around the Truckee Meadows. Evening ditch trail rides and runs are going off multiple days this week. Pack a light if you are out in the evening and enjoy.

Applications are due by December 20. Link for more info: https://renobikeproject.org/program/futurecycle/
